2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

Provide and improve the Auracle service
Enable core features: rating music, writing reviews, building mixtapes, discovering music
Power community features: charts, Listening Rooms, social feed, direct messaging
Personalize your experience based on your ratings and activity
Display your profile and contributions in community spaces
Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your data, serve personalized advertisements, or train machine-learning models on your behavior.

3. Data Storage & Security

All user data is securely stored with Supabase, a cloud database provider that complies with GDPR and industry-standard security practices. Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We use privacy-friendly analytics that do not track individual users or collect personal identifiers.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. We may surface aggregated, anonymized data in community charts and statistics. Public profile information (username, avatar, ratings, reviews, public mixtapes) is visible to other users. Your direct messages remain private and are never shared with other users unless you send them.

5. Your Rights

You have the right to access a copy of your personal data, delete your account and all associated data, correct your account information, and request your data in a portable format. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the email below.

6. Children's Privacy

Auracle is rated 12+ and is not intended for children under 12. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 12. If we become aware that we have, we will delete it promptly.

7. Third-Party Services

Apple Music — album metadata, artwork, and preview audio. Subject to Apple's privacy policy.
Spotify — if you choose to connect your account, used to show what's playing and let you rate as you listen. Subject to Spotify's privacy policy.
Supabase — secure data storage.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of Auracle after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
